To obtain the fine structure of the Chenghai fault zone and the nearby basins, we deployed two dense arrays and excited 8 methane sources across the fault from October to November 2020. The Line1 and Line2 dense arrays consist of 80 and 120 Zland 3C short-period three-component nodal seismograph with average station spacing of 50–100 m, respectively. These stations have a sampling rate of 500 points per second during the 35‐day deployment. The methane sources were buried in drill holes with depths of 4–10 m, which can excite seismic waves by igniting oxygen and combustible gas (such as hydrogen, methane, etc.) with the reaction products of carbon dioxide and water. This dataset is the raw waveforms and P-wave travel times of the methane sources , including information such as excitation time, excitation and station locations, etc.
