Temperature data were collected from the Red Sea and Indian Ocean from the Mys Ostrovskogo from 29 May 1964 to 22 December 1989. Temperature profiles were obtained employing a mechanical bathythermograph (MBT) as part of the Global Ocean Data Archaeology and Rescue (GODAR) project.
