Historic Inventory 1979-2004 (Tacoma)

Historic Property Inventory (HPI) records contain baseline data available about buildings, structures, sites, and objects. HPI forms are generally done when a property reaches or is nearing 50 years old. These forms are not automatically generated. HPIs are usually completed by stakeholder agencies when historic properties may be impacted by state or federal projects, or as part of neighborhood historic property survey projects. The existence of an HPI form for a given property does not mean that property is landmarked. Conversely, the absence of an HPI form does not mean the property is not potentially eligible for historic considerations. This dataset indicates which properties have HPI forms done between 1979 and 2004; the dataset does not include properties with HPI forms done since 2004. The City of Tacoma is not responsible for missing or incomplete data.
