JBS is one of the leading companies in beef, lamb and poultry processing and also operates in pork production. The company was founded by José Batista Sobrinho in 1953 and is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. JBS Brasil is the Brazilian subsidiary of the company which operates in the beef and hide production in Brazil. In 2023, net revenue of JBS Brasil, amounted to over  55 billion Brazilian reals, around double the revenue generated in 2018, when it amounted to 27.6 billion reals.
