The purpose of this research is to determine the mediating role of the current immigration policy and the attitude Toward immigrants in the effect of the economic, social, cultural, and environmental effects caused by immigrants in Turkey on the behavior of supporting the immigration policy to be implemented by the government. For this purpose, data were collected from 563 people in Turkey using the online survey method. According to the research results, the social and cultural effects caused by the immigrants were the most influential factor on the society's intention to support the immigration policy, while the economic effects had the second highest effect. In addition, it has been seen that the current immigration policy and the attitude Toward immigrants mediate in this interaction. This study is a pioneering study that collects quantitative data in Turkey, which has been receiving large numbers of immigrants for many years, and measures the attitudes of local people Toward immigrants and immigration policy in detail. The accompanying findings from this study are expected to have important implications for future research that determines the attitudes of indigenous people Toward immigrants and immigration policy support behavior.
