资源简介:
The goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of Short Chain Fatty Acid (SCFA) supplementation on Alzheimers Disease model mice. SCFAs are a major microbiota metabolite that have been implicated as a mediator of gut microbiome effects in the brain. Here, we tested the effects of SCFA supplementation on APPswe/PSEN1dE9 mice maintained under standard laboratory conditions. Mice were treated with SCFAs from five months of age and until ten months of age, when they were evaluated for gut microbiome profile, impaired spatial memory and amyloid burden. This SRA submission contains sequences for each mouse microbiome sample in this study. Amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) were identified using DADA2 and their taxonomic annotations determined using the UCLUST algorithm and Silva 132 16S reference with a minimum similarity threshold of 90 percent. This sequencing effort yielded 4,443,016 reads.
