"Bei Missionar Pätzig. Arusha" ("At missionary Pätzig's. Arusha"). Three men, two women and three children at a coffee table laid with crockery and candles in a living room. The woman on the right is Mrs. Blumer.; Max Pätzig (1885-1983), from Böhringen in Saxony, was a shoemaker before joining the Leipzig Mission as a pastor. He served in Arusha from 1928 to 1940 (apart from home leave in 1935-1936). He was nominated chief of honour of the Arusha people.
