Sox11 induces cell aggregation and growth suppression in early progenitor B-cells

The non-malignant, IL-3 dependent pro-B cell line Ba/F3 has previously been used for assessing transformation capability of oncogenes. We investigated functional and transcriptional changes in Ba/F3 cells upon Sox11 induction and find that the transcription factor Sox11 in this cellular background did not act as an oncogene. Cells were transduced with a retroviral TetON system carrying the murine Sox11 CDS (SOX11-ON with dox and SOX11-OFF without dox) and investigated for different factors. As additional control, non-transduced cells were cultured with dox (NT-ON) or without dox (NT-OFF)
