Whole genome sequencing and analysis of halotolerant and alkalotolerant plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Klebsiella sp. D5A The Klebsiella sp. D5A, was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of tall fescue (Testuca arundinacea L.) in Shengli oilfield, Shandong, China (37.43 N 118.68 E). Owing to its brilliant plant growth promoting properties, we determined the genome sequence of D5A. A single colony of Klebsiella sp. D5A grown on ADF agar medium (Penrose and Glick 2003.) was inoculated into 100 mL of LB medium (10 g tryptone, 5 g yeast extract and 10 g NaCl per liter) and shaken at 150 rpm at 30 °C for 48 h. Bacterial cells were collected and the genomic DNA was extracted with Fast DNA SPIN kit (MP Biomedicals, Solon, OH) .The genome sequence of Klebsiella sp. D5A was determined using the HiSeq 2000 sequencing platform (Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA).
