In 2019, 39 percent of Indonesian respondents stated that they purchased coffee from coffee-to-go shops in the previous year. In recent years, cafe culture has started to take hold in Indonesia, especially among the young, urban population. As a majority-Muslim nation, cafes are the ideal and preferred place for youngsters to hang out.
