Italo’s annual profit 2016-2020

After Italo's entry into the Italian rail sector already dominated by its biggest rival Trenitalia, Italo’s annual profit saw a significant increase between the years 2016 and 2019, from just under 33 million euros to over 151 million euros. In 2020, Italo made a loss of nearly 120 million euros due to the COVID-19 pandemic leading to restricted passenger travel.
