The State of Usable Security Education For Security Professionals - Replication Package

This is the replication package for the research around "The State of Usable Security Education For Security Professionals." We provide 10 different files: 01_Dedicated Classes: A spreadsheet with a list of all dedicated USEC courses that we identified, the relevant coding, and meta information. 02_Partially Covered Classes: A spreadsheet with a list of all classes that contain some USEC content that we identified and meta information. 03_LLM Raw Results: A spreadsheet with the raw output that our LLM-enabled scraping provided us. 04_LLM Limitations Coded: A spreadsheet with the results of our coding for all limitations that the LLM reported to us, during scraping. 05_Csrankings List Raw: A list with all institutions within our initial filtering on https://csrankings.org/ 06:Csrankings List Filtered: A list with all universities that we included in our search, after we filtered the raw results from csrankings. 07_Triage List: A spreadsheet with an overview of false-positive and false-negative results, along with explanations we identified during manual verification. 08_Pre Study Memos: A .docx file with course content we reviewed prior to the main study, which we later used to add deductive codes to the main coding approach for dedicated courses. 09_Certification Initial Data Gathering: A spreadsheet with the names of certificates that we identified in our initial data gathering. 10_Certification Book Order List: A spreadsheet with training books for certificates and the reasoning for which we ordered and which we did not. 11_Job Scrapper Source Code: A ZIP folder with the source code for our online search for certifications in job ads.
