资源简介:
From 2018-07-30 to 2020-07-30, two PIES instruments (pressure-sensing inverted echo sounders) were deployed in Yucatan Channel, Mexico. PIES instruments make observations of seafloor pressure and travel time of an acoustic signal between the seafloor and the sea surface. These data are reported here, in a processed version that shows the differences between the eastern and the western sites with trends and tides removed. The PIES were deployed from the R/V Justo Sierra (cruise ID CANEK-42) at degrees decimal minutes: 21 deg 36.55âN, 86 deg 13.91â W (decimal degrees: 21.609167N, -86.231833W) - mooring site YUC5 and at degrees decimal minutes: 21deg 46.88âN, 85deg 10.43â W (decimal degrees 21.781333N, -85.173833W) - mooring site YUC9 in 1190 m and 1880 m water depth, respectively. Related data are available in datasets U2.x860.000:0002 (gridded density and geopotential height differences; https://doi.org/10.7266/YQWCV66H), U2.x860.000:0003 (gridded vertical sections of zonal and meridional velocity components; https://doi.org/10.7266/AK8HHNYX), and U2.x860.000:0004 (ocean volume transport; https://doi.org/10.7266/GBCNGJQF).
