Dataset arthropods - Catfolis et al.

This dataset includes abundance and biomass data of arthropod orders captured a field campaign which lasted from July 2023 to October 2023. Arthropods were captured with 3 different technique to sample 3 different forest strata: pitfall traps (PF) to capture active, ground-dwelling arthropods reliant on the litter and soil layer, including taxa associated with deadwood and decomposition processes; sweep netting (SN) targeting arthropods associated with the understory vegetation and environment; beating sheet method (BS) sampling arthropods residing on shrubs and small trees, such as plant-eating insects. Based on the data we want to assess how overall forest structural complexity and the complexity of the forest strata affects arthropod abundance and biomass.
