The aim of the study is to isolate, identify and characterize pigment-producing bacteria from the estuaries of Netravathi River, Mangaluru. The project aims to extract natural pigments from the bacteria in order to utilize them as an alternative for the chemical synthetic pigments, thereby ensuring the use of eco-friendly environmental technologies.
