Comparative transcriptome profiling of heat stress response of the mangrove crab Scylla serrata across different sites

The fishery and aquaculture of the widely distributed mud crab Scylla serrata is a steadily growing, high-value, global industry. Climate change poses a risk to this industry as temperature elevations are expected to threaten the mud crab habitat and the supply of mud crab seed from the wild. This study attempts to understand the difference of heat stress response among S. serrata collected from 3 sites, Cagayan, Bicol, and Bataan in the Philippines.
