A 16-marker panel to characterize human amniotic fluid stem cells

This panel was developed and optimized to characterize human derived amniotic fluid stem cells (AFSCs). AFSCs can be identified by analyzing surface markers CD27, CD34, CD44, CD45, CD73, CD90, CD105, CD117, HLA-ABC, HLA-DR, SSEA-3, SSEA-4, Tra-1-60 and Tra-1-81 as well as the intracellular marker OCT3/4. Additionally, the membrane integrity is determined with a life/dead discriminator to differentiate living from dead cells. The staining has been optimized for cryopreserved CD117+ isolated cells.
