The field area is centered around an active volcano, its last known eruption was in early 1700`s. 18 stations with Guralp 30T sensors and 6 channel PASSCAL recorders were set between late June and mid-September, 1998, when 8 of them were demobilized. The remaining 10 were in place until April, 1999.
