TRANSECT transect level data
transect_ID Unique identification of transects. (sampling year_sampling round_study unit_transect)
sampling_year Sampling year. Factor with two levels: 2020: First year, 2021: Second year.
sampling_round Seasons. Factor with two levels: 1: Early summer (late May-early June), 2: Mid-summer (late July)
sampling_year_round Sampling year and season
study_unit Study unit. Factor with 32 levels: ID variable used as an intercept-only random variable: (1|study_unit). Strip-type landscape plots consisted of three, Field-types of one study unit. I.e., wildflower parcels (landscape context_triplet_treatment_field/strip unique identifyer (number))
transect Paralell transects (A or B)
triplet In this case "Triplet" means a ladscape plot pair (F (field) or S (strips)). In original study design a triplet contained 3 landscape plots (2 traitment and one control, see Báldi et al., 2022), but in this study we evaluated only landscape plots with treatment (field or strips).
treatment Spatial configuration. Factor with two levels: F: a single field, S: three smaller strips.
landscape_plot Landscape plot. Factor with 16 levels: ID variable used as an intercept-only random variable: (1|landscape_plot). Used in both landscape plot-level and transect-level models
landscape_context Landscape context. Factor with two levels: HET: heterogeneous landscapes, HOM: homogeneous agricultural landscapes.

flower_abundance_avg Average flower abundance.
sown_abundance_avg Average flower abundance of sown species. Sown: Flowering plant species that were sown by the experimenters.
not_sown_abundance_avg Average flower abundance of not sown species. Not sown: Flowering plant species that were not sown by the experimenters.
flower_sp_num_avg Average flowering plant species number. Average flowering plant species number by flower resource assessment quadrats.
sown_sp_num_avg Average flower species number of sown species. Sown: Flowering plant species that were sown by the experimenters.
not_sown_sp_num_avg Average flower species number of not sown species. Not sown: Flowering plant species that were not sown by the experimenters.
observer Acronym of person conducted the survey (PR: Raoul PELLATON; BAD: Áron Domonkos BIHALY)
transect_random Transect ID. Factor with 64 levels: ID variable used as an intercept-only random variable: (1|transect_random). Each study unit had two parallel transects.
transect_length Transect length: Numeric variable: measures the unit length of transects. It equals 3 for Field and 1 for Strip transects. Transects on strips are 1/3 of the length, so the combined sampling effort will equal between Field-type and Strip-type landscape plots. It is always used to control for different transect lengths with the offset and the link functions: offset(log(transect_length)).
log_flower_abundance_avg log-average flower abundance. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base e) of the mean flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
log_sown_abundance_avg log-average flower abundance of sown species. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base e) of the mean sown flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
log_not_sown_abundance_avg log-average flower abundance of not sown species. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base e) of the mean not sown flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
log10_flower_abundance_avg log10-average flower abundanc. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base 10) of the mean flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
log10_sown_abundance_avg log10-average flower abundanc. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base 10) of the mean sown flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
log10_not_sown_abundance_avg log10-average flower abundanc. Numeric variable: Logarithm (base 10) of the mean not sown flower abundance by flower resource assessment quadrats.
