Lacticaseibacillus paracasei genome sequencing

In this study, probiotic bacteria Lacticaseibacillus paracasei DDS12 were isolated from bovine teat swab and the pure isolates is subjected to In-vitro probiotic characterization and whole genome sequencing to infer its genetic traits. Further, an attempt to establish the in-silico guided functional analysis of genes that correlate with the following important phenotypes: adherence to intestinal epithelial cells, pathogen exclusion, utilization of carbohydrates, bile resistance, presence of CRISPER genes and bacteriocins were identified using bioinformatic tools.
