Pre-determinant factors that may be affecting academics.

Gender: The gender of the individual, M stands for male, and F stands for female.<br>Background: The cultural background that the individual identifies with.<br>Major: The program that the individual is enrolled in York Univsersity as of now. Method: Random individuals were chosen for the questions to be verbally asked. Gender was observed visually of the individuals.<br>The location was in the collabatory in Scott Library, York University. The data was collected in 15 minutes from the individuals sitting in the collabatory. Groups of students or individual students were approached for this study.<br>The students were asked what program they were currently enrolled in. The data could be skewed by program switches.<br>Data was collected by 4 students and gathered together to create this set. Each student was assigned to approach a total of 7 people for this study.<br>The purpose of this study was to determine whether gender and cultural background can predetermine the program these individuals are most likley to be enrolled in.<br>Study was conducted by: Hira, Hamza, Sahra, Melanie on September 18, 2014 at around 3 PM.
