Comparative transcriptome profiling of Chinese tongue sole in immune response against Vibrio harveyi infection

Vibrio harveyi is a major bacterial pathogen that can cause fatal vibriosis in Chinese tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis). To comprehend the molecular mechanisms of C. semilaevis host response against V. harveyi infection, we performed transcriptome (RNA-seq) analysis of C. semilaevis from resistant family and susceptible family. Overall design: RNA-seq analysis was perfomed from four groups, resistant and susceptible families unchallenged , and those challenged with V. harveyi for 24 hour. Three biological replicates each group were used for cDNA library construction and Illumina sequencing.
