Site Data from an Archaeological Evaluation at High Street, Drayton, Oxfordshire 2014-15

This collection comprises site data (images, reports, CAD and spreadsheets) from an archaeological evaluation in 2014 and subsequent excavation in 2015 on land south of the High Street, Drayton. Fieldwork revealed late Saxon ditches that may form part of a trackway, a medieval field system, and post-medieval boundary ditches. The latest evidence dates to the nineteenth century and relates to ancillary buildings belonging to Whitehorn's Farm. Postholes and pits and a midden deposit also uncovered are likely to relate to the medieval settlement, though the features were generally poorly dated.
