Data associated with the paper "Io hotspot distribution detected by JIRAM from Juno: hints for subsurface networks" (AAS78018R1)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the hotspot catalog, the per-image detection tables and the hotspot maps of Io derived from Juno/JIRAM imager observations in the L (3.30–3.60 µm) and M (4.54–5.02 µm) bands, acquired during perijoves 41–72 (51 L-band and 64 M-band super-images from 13 and 14 perijoves). It is the companion dataset of: F. Zambon et al., 2026. "Io hotspot distribution detected by JIRAM from Juno: hints for subsurface networks", The Planetary Science Journal (AAS78018R1). Files: - JIRAM_hotspot_catalog.csv – Final catalog of 426 hotspots (Table A3 of the paper, IDs 1–426): ID, IAU name or literature designation, mean latitude and East longitude, median L- and M-band total spectral power (GW/µm) and median L–M color temperature (K). - JIRAM_hotspot_catalog_highEM.csv – 10 hotspots detected only at emission angles between 75° and 85° (Table A3, IDs 427–436, including Janus Patera), with the same columns. They are not included in any statistic of the paper. - per_image_detections.zip – One CSV table per JIRAM super-image (115 files), with one row per detection: quality class, position and uncertainties, total spectral power, brightness temperature, band radiances, saturation flags, viewing geometry, image metadata and associations with the IAU nomenclature and with the hotspot catalogs of Mura et al. (2026), Perry et al. (2025), Zambon et al. (2023) and Veeder et al. (2015). - HS_maps_orbits_PNG.zip – Maps of the hotspots detected in each perijove (PJ41–PJ72), in the L and M bands, showing their position and total spectral power and their L–M color temperature. - HS_maps_global_PNG.zip – Global maps of the final catalog, combining all perijoves, showing the hotspot positions with their total spectral power in the L and M bands and their L–M color temperature. - README.txt – Description of the files, conventions and of every column. Total spectral powers, band radiances and brightness temperatures are corrected for the emission angle (Appendix of the paper). Longitudes are East longitudes (−180° to +180°). The JIRAM data used to derive these products are available from the NASA Planetary Data System (Juno JIRAM Bundle, doi:10.17189/1518967).
