Utilizing the catalytically inactive CRISPR interference system dMAD7, we conducted random integration experiments using dMAD7 containing plasmids to regulate the expression of the enhanced green fluorescence protein. We investigated the integration events through whole-genome sequencing and possible effects of the integration on mRNA level through RNA-sequencing.
