During lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) persistence, neutrophils were shown to be regulated, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we have employed a scRNA analysis using bone marrow cells during LCMV infection. The experiment was conducted to define the possible role of sphingosine kinase 2 (SphK2) in neutrophil regulation upon LCMV infection. The findings may increase our understanding of viral mechanisms to regulate the host immunity and virus persistence. Overall design: WT and Sphk2-/- knockout C57BL/6 mice (n=3 mice/group) were infected with LCMV Cl 13. Bone marrows cells were collected from uninfected WT and LCMV Cl 13-infected WT and Sphk2–/– mice at 3 dpi and analyzed using scRNA-seq.
