PigDetect: a diverse and challenging benchmark dataset for the detection of pigs in images

This dataset is associated with the paper "Benchmarking pig detection and tracking under diverse and challenging conditions" published in Computers and Electronics in Agriculture. The dataset contains: 2931 images from conventional pig farming with object detection annotations in yolo and coco format with predefined training, validation and test splits A JSON file that, for each annotated image, specifies whether it is randomly selected or challenging, as defined in the corresponding paper. Trained model weights for pig detection A thorough explanation of all files contained in this data repository can be found in ReadMe.txt. It includes commands to automatically download the files from this data repository that are required for model training, evaluation, and inference.
