This directory contains all data files, scripts, parameter files, and outputs developed as part of the Norwegian National Earthquake Hazard Model 2025. The work was carried out between 2022 and 2025 by Maren Kjos Karlsen, and the scripts are primarily written in Python using Jupyter Notebooks. For ease of access and to minimize dependency issues, the notebooks have been exported to HTML format. The contents support the full workflow of:- Seismic catalogue curation- Ground motion model validation- OpenQuake model preparation and execution- Hazard map generation The scripts make use of:- The OpenQuake Hazard Modelers Toolkit- The Model Building Toolkit- Translated Seisan scripts using Seisan parameter files --- Directory Structure 1. Data PreparationContains all scripts, data, and outputs related to catalogue development, validation, and model smoothing. - Jupyter Notebooks (01–05): Sequential scripts for catalogue development and refinement.- b_val_plots/: Recurrence estimation plots for all area zones.- Data validation output/: Includes final catalogues, cluster evaluation results, explosion filter outputs, magnitude homogenisation regression results, and associated plots.- par_files/: Parameter and configuration files used by the notebooks (completeness estimates, shapefiles, reference files).- Smooth_output/: Outputs and figures from the smoothed model generation process.- merge_data_functions.py: Supporting Python scripts for data merging and processing. 2. Ground Motion Model ValidationDocuments the validation workflow and results. - Jupyter Notebook Export: Step-by-step description of the validation process.- Input File: mulplt_amp_dist.txt: Ground motion data extracted from Seisan.- Output Files and Figures: Generated during the validation process. 3. Hazard MapsHigh-resolution maps and hazard data exports. - ArcGIS Pro Exports: Maps created from OpenQuake hazard map exports.- Zipped folders: Estimated mean hazard levels at each grid point for 475-year and 2500-year return periods. 4. OpenQuake InputContains all necessary input files and directories for OpenQuake runs, including model configuration files, source models, logic tree definitions, and zip files submitted for calculation. ---
