A discharge screw arrangement (12) comprises a discharge screw (10) accommodated in and rotatably arranged inside a feeder pipe (11)， where the discharge screw (10) is configured to mechanically transport the lignocellulosic material (7) in a longitudinal direction along the discharge screw ( 10) through the feeder pipe (11) towards the downstream end (14) of the feeder pipe (11). The discharge screw arrangement (12) further comprises a material spreader (20) rotatably arranged at the downstream end (14) of the feeder pipe (11) and configured to transport the lignocellulosic material (7) in a radial direction towards an outlet nozzle (24) arranged peripherally of the material spreader (20) at the downstream end (14) of the feeder pipe (11) and discharge the lignocellulosic material (7) out of the feeder pipe (11) through the outlet nozzle (24) and into a blow pipe (5) located adjacent to the outlet nozzle (24) on the outside of the feeder pipe (11).
