资源简介:
Diabetes increases the risk of stroke. Diabetes increases stroke damage. Patients with diabetes experience repeated hypoglycemic events. Repeated hypoglycemic events in diabetic rats increase stroke damage. The mechanism of this increased stroke damage is not known. Exposure to repeated hypoglycemia causes poor function in mitochondria after a stroke. Mitochondria plays many important roles in the cell. We studied the role of mitochondria in increased stroke damage. We studied mitochondrial dysfunction in non-synaptic and synaptic mitochondria.
