This repository contains data & analysis script (R) used for the publication: Synergy-based crop suitability assessment for agrivoltaics: A traffic-light framework for stakeholders and researchers in temperate climates (currenlty under review PPP). Within the manuscript we analysze need for protection and shade tolerance of nine major crop groups to determine their suitability for growht in agrivoltaic systems. Need for protection is build upon crop groups respective water footprint (data derived from Mialyk et al. 2024), contribution margin (data derived from Kuratiorium für Technik und Bauwesen in der Landwirtschaft 2024), and an expert based survey. Shade tolerance is based upon an extended systematic literature review, following the approach of Laub & Pataczek et al (2022). Dataset description is included within the Excel-workbook "ReadMe"-sheet. The here presented data represents subsets of the original raw data - see manuscript for detail.
