Hammond River Angling Association Water Quality Monitoring Program
收藏资源简介:
The Hammond River Watershed has a 73.5 kilometers long main river stem, 125 kilometers of major tributaries and countless kilometers of minor tributaries, encompassing 433 square kilometers of diverse land use and habitat types. The Hammond River is host to one of the last self-sustaining salmon populations in the Bay of Fundy region and salmon conservation underlies much of the HRAA’s work since 1977. The water quality data collected is used to assist in making informed decisions of prioritization of our many riparian restoration projects, ensuring that we are targeting the most stressed locations. With assistance from the Environmental Trust Fund and Wildlife Trust fund, this water monitoring project also aims to build community partnerships, and promote education and stewardship of our beautiful watershed.
