资源简介:
This collection comprises images and a report from a level 2 descriptive buildings recording survey at Neamour Hall, Eggleston, County Durham. This work was undertaken by Minerva Heritage in June/July 2024. The complex of agricultural buildings had developed around two core units - a byre with hayloft over, adjoining a separate cottage. These date from the late 18th or more likely the early 19th century. The unusual concrete veneer and blockwork on the elevation facing towards Eggleston village was probably added c.1900-1919. Various extensions and outbuildings were added and removed during the lifespan of the complex. The cottage and byre at the core of the complex were of relatively crude construction and both perhaps suffered from structural instability from the moment at which they were joined together.
