资源简介:
This data set has mixed-method data that was gathered using both qualitative and quantitative methods. It was collected for a study investigating the factors influencing the employability of engineering graduates in Ethiopia, with a focus on gender equity (a glimpse in to fairness) and human agency (i.e., the power of individuals to shape their own futures). The data set includes:The Collected Data: Gathered from 117 engineering graduates, 15 employers, and 12 higher education teachers through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Secondary data was collected from documents to substantiate findings. The quantitative data is clean from outliers. A Tracer Study Procedure is included to detail how the data was collected and related matters, providing full information about the research conducted.Analysis Methods: To evaluate the impact of variables such labor market circumstances (LMC), socio-cultural conditions (SCC), and higher education study behavior (HESB) on graduates' employability or employment prospects, the study used binary logistic regression analysis. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) results produced with AMOS software are also included in the dataset.Data Content: There are no outliers in the quantitative data, which is clean. In order to provide readers a complete understanding, it offers thorough information regarding the research that was done. The research unfolds multifaceted stories. Some stories in the colorful, frequently intricate tapestry of world evolution take unexpected turns and call into question our most fundamental beliefs. This is just one of these intriguing stories, especially one that was discovered deep within Ethiopia. Consider a workplace where a significant "large employment disadvantage for females as compared to males" emerges enormous and intimidating over the country's labor market. This is a powerful tale. Yet, inside this very setting, an equally compelling, counter-intuitive narrative emerges: a great success flowering in the highly demanding and technical field of engineering. We encourage you to read this gripping, complex tale of unanticipated parity and resiliency.
