Code for "How functional traits modulate the mechanisms underlying tree seedling survival uncovered by Bayesian hierarchical model"

The STAN code for models used in analyses in "How functional traits modulate the mechanisms underlying tree seedling survival uncovered by Bayesian hierarchical model", for parameter estimations in three types of Bayesian models using the rstan package in R: (1) the best-fitting first-level models including initial height, Chmed, Envpc1, CAND, HAND, HTD and ATD as explanatory variables; (2) the second-level models with species as the group predictor of species-specific coefficients of CHmed, Envpc1 and CAND; (3) the best-fitting second-level models with species-specific traits as the group level predictor of species-specific coefficients of CHmed, Envpc1 and CAND.
