Treescape expansion for net zero: how aligned are stakeholder preferences to national objectives?

This data occupanies a paper titled "Treescape expansion for net zero: how aligned are stakeholder preferences to national objectives?" in which we compare treescape expansion from stakeholder participatory scenarios, stakeholder preferred future tree cover and top-down country scenarios. Each CSV represents one of these elements: Participatory_future_treecover.csv contains the current and future tree cover in two case study landscapes, the North Pennines and Dales and the Elenydd, from 4 stakeholder groups. This work is from Minter et al., 2025 https://besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pan3.70025 Preferred_future_treecover.csv contains the preffered tree cover from multiple stakeholders across the same landscapes and groups, which contains the prefered, minimum and maximum future tree cover. top_down_scenarios_landscapes.csv contains the results from the 'top 20' best scenarios of treescape expansion to meet net zero emissions with the least cost to food production, and the consequental median future tree cover in each NCA/NLCA in England and Wales, alongside the two case study landscapes (North Pennines and Dales, the Elenydd)
