Genetic diversity and population structure of black pepper accessions based on next generation SNP markers

Black pepper is a valuable spice crop of global importance. Past investigations on genetic diversity analyses of black pepper have predominantly employed molecular markers such as RAPDs, AFLPs, and SSRs. However, in the genetic analysis of black pepper, there is a notable absence of utilizing SNP markers. The primary objective of this study was to assess the genetic diversity in black pepper through RADseq derived SNP markers, thereby addressing this current void in next generation sequencing.
