Effects of Biochar Amendment and Foliar Application on Sunflower Biomass Development

This dataset comprises observational records obtained during a 56-day pot experiment investigating the growth of Helianthus annuus under defined biochar application regimes. It contains both observational data and systematically controlled measurements of key plant growth parameters, including biometric and physiological characteristics, substrate properties, and photosynthetic performance monitored throughout plant development. Furthermore, the dataset includes post-harvest assessments, such as analyses of plant structural features and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) characterization of the resulting biomass. The dataset enables evaluation of the effects of biochar amendment and biochar-based foliar spraying on sunflower biomass production.
The dataset was generated as part of the bachelor’s thesis “The effect of biochar addition and nanobiochar foliar spray on the development of sunflower biomass (Helianthus annuus)”  by Bartosz Fiedor.
