The variables in the dataset are as follows: ID (participant ID), DAY (date of participation), SEX (gender: 1 = male, 2 = female), GEN (age group: 1 = under 15, 7 = 60 and older), PRE (prefecture of residence: 1 = Hokkaido, 47 = Okinawa), ARE (region of residence: 1 = Hokkaido, 8 = Kyushu), JOB (occupation: 1 = civil servant, 2 = business owner/executive, 3 = clerical employee, 4 = technical employee, 5 = other employee, 6 = self-employed, 7 = freelancer, 8 = homemaker, 9 = part-time worker, 10 = student, 11 = other), MAR (marital status: 1 = unmarried, 2 = married), CHI (presence of children: 1 = yes, 2 = no), q1s1–3 (egoistic values), q1s4–7 (altruistic values), q2s1–4 (purchase attitudes toward organic food), q2s5–6 (purchase intentions for organic food), and q2s7 (actual purchase of organic food). Additionally, variables suffixed with "_2" indicate data collected in Wave 2.
