This dataset contains the numerical simulation files and visual configurations supporting the manuscript "Effective Complexity Reduction of the Landau-de Gennes Elastic Energy: A Quantitative Framework and Numerical Validation." The data provides the computational ground truth validating the parameter regimes under which the multi-constant Landau-de Gennes model can be quantitatively reduced using the Generalized Optimal Scaling (GOS) framework. The repository includes: Input Parameters: Excel spreadsheets detailing the exact initialized physical parameters and specific Oseen-Frank elastic constants fed into the simulations for both the three-constant and two-constant reductions. Raw Simulation Data: 18 raw text files generated via the open-Qmin computational framework. Each file contains the complete spatial coordinates, material identifiers, and spatial components of the Q-tensor for the simulated spherical colloid confined within the nematic liquid crystal. Visual Configurations: A complete set of image files containing GUI screenshots automatically generated by open-Qmin. These images provide direct visual representations of the three-dimensional nematic liquid crystal (NLC) configurations corresponding to each raw data file. MAPLE Scripts: Two MAPLE files detailing the step-by-step derivation of the Generalized Optimal Scaling (GOS) procedure for each reduction case (to be uploaded in a future version of this repository). These supplementary materials allow independent researchers to fully reconstruct the numerical environment and recompute the discrete $L_2$ norms of the Q-tensor fields presented in the study.
