We describe in a prospective cohort a novel CD8+ T effector memory population, which is characterized by high levels of Granzyme K (GZMK high CD8+ TEM) and correlated with CD15 high tumor infiltrating neutrophils. In this context, we performed single-cell RNA-Seq analysis on matched tumor and non-tumor adjacent unsorted tissues to define a gene signature of GZMK high CD8+ TEM. This was associated with worse prognosis on a larger independent cohort of CRC patients and of lung cancer (TCGA).EGA study EGAS00001006665
