Geospatial datasets for the central South Arabian mountains in Al Mahra (Yemen) and Dhofar (Oman) including spatial variability in monsoon fog density.

Geospatial datasets for the central South Arabian mountains in Al Mahra (Yemen) and Dhofar (Oman) are compiled and made accessible to support research in the region. A raster layer of spatial variability in monsoon fog density is presented together with raster layers of vegetation indices, topographic data and geomorphology metrics. A selection of vector layers including settlements, roads and springs are also included. The methods used to calculate and derive the layers are summarized and all data sources, software and tools are referenced accordingly. Data is shared according to the usage and distribution guidelines of the data providers.
