In 2022, a survey conducted among Australian consumers revealed that around 73 percent of respondents buy pre-used clothing. One fifth of those who buy secondhand clothing started buying such items within the past three years. Environmental concerns were the leading reason for buying secondhand clothing items among those surveyed.
