Interfacial tension and radius measurements of Cerato-ulmin hydrophobin membranes at air-water and oil-water interfaces

We measured the dynamic interfacial tension of Cerato-ulmin (CU) dipsersions at air-water and squalane-water interfaces. CU stock solution was prepared in aqueous solutions at a concentration of 0.2mg/mL. Experimental trials used CU solution at concentrations of 1 ug/mL and 2 ug/mL. Cerato-ulmin was studied using a microtensiometer. An inverted light microscope was used to image bubbles or drops. Both static and dynamic experiments were performed, and both air-water and oil-water interfaces were measured (the oil was squalane). This dataset reports interfacial tension and drop radius measurements of CU membranes in air-water and squalane-water interfaces.
