VPRS 14962 Lists of Parishes, Proclaimed Townships and Land Districts

This series consists of lists of proclaimed townships and parishes with their Land Districts and the location designated for payments which had been revised by land officers in each land District. Also included are the working papers used in preparing published revised lists.The initial list of parishes and designated receivers of revenue had been prepared in 1873 with the division of the state into land districts. In the intervening time, both the designation of the land districts had been changed as had the allocation of parishes to each district. As, well new parishes had been proclaimed and added to a district. This series gives the situation current at that date and prior to further changes.
