资源简介:
The Multiple Opening Closing Net and Environmental Sensing System[s] [MOCNESS] deployed during the DEEPEND field program collects data (e.g., pressure, temperature, conductivity, volume filtered, horizontal and vertical velocity, latitude, and longitude) from several sensors while the instrument is in use. These data helped characterize the environment and assess the orientation and speed of the MOCNESS. The flow and net angle were used to calculate the volume of water filtered for each net.
The dataset includes the measured environmental data for each of the nine tows during DEEPEND cruise DP09 (R/V Point Sur cruise PS23-22, https://doi.org/10.7284/910034), collected between 2023-05-02 and 2023-05-12. Also included is a summary spreadsheet, an explanation of the binning of the depth intervals for the various trawls, a copy of the ship's logbook for the cruise, and a copy of the notes for each tow. The biological data, CTD, and underway data collected during this cruise are available in GRIIDC datasets NO.x959.000:0011, NO.x959.000:0009 (https://doi.org/10.7266/J7BWR482), and NO.x959.000:0016 (https://doi.org/10.7266/m39kxewk), respectively. This dataset is a result of research funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's RESTORE Science Program (ROR - https://ror.org/0042xzm63) under award #NA19NOS4510193 to Nova Southeastern University.
