The bean bug, Riptortus pedestris, harbors genus Burkholderia as the gut symbiont in the posterior midgut region. We found that Duox is the critical enzyme to regulate Riptortus-Burkholderia symbiosis. Thus, we tried to find differentially expressed genes between the midgut of ontrol and Duox-RNAi insects.
