Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1981

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1981 comprises 21 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1981. # #The present survey is a year file based on all the surveys. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1981 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the house- hold and number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children (persons under 15) and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupation- al status and income; the bread-winner's education, occupational status and form of payment; total household income; the spouse's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbaniza- tion; whether the household possesses a car, colour TV, or washing machine; whether the respondent had smoked various forms of tobacco on the day before the interview; the respondent's newspaper reading habits; habits as regards weeklies, monthlies, etc.; the respondent's last cinema visit; use of buses; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election; and which party the respondent would vote for at a hypothetical general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Omnibus no. 01 (DDA-1096): #Attitude to doing the pools; women's attitude to their surname and the surname of their children; attitude to the new 10-krone coin and the new 20-krone note; and attitude to the so-called 'social income', which is an account of taxable income and capital to be used as the basis of calculation of various forms of social security benefits. # #Omnibus no. 02 (DDA-1097): #Attitude to the TV serial 'Dallas'; knowledge of and attitude to the discussion about the Danish national defence; and knowledge of and expectations as regards the so-called 'social income'. # #Omnibus no. 03 (DDA-1098): #The Government's contract with A.P.
