Share of renewable capacity in Brazil 2021-2050, by scenario

The share of renewables in the total installed capacity in Brazil is forecast to decrease from 84 percent in 2021 to 75 percent in 2050 in a scenario based on the historic trajectory of the country's energy sector. If additional measures are taken to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the share of renewable capacity is projected to reach 90 percent.
