Mesozooplankton data collected within the H2020 DOORS project in September 2023 on the Romanian shelf under the Danube's influence

The dataset contains the taxonomic and quantitative analysis of mesozooplankon, collected within the DOORS Leg 2 cruise carried out within 1-10 September 2023 in the framework of Horizon 2020 Project ‘Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea’ (DOORS). The samples (9 samples in total) were collected by towning the Juday net (38 cm diameter, 150 µm mesh size) at certain depth layers, depending on thermocline and DCM positions. The samples were preserved on board in buffered formaldehyde 4% for further laboratory analysis (Alexandrov et al., 2021).
